Mini Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Mini cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was ₹ 22.32 lakhs. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₹ 26.28 lakhs. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price rose somewhat going from ₹ 24.3 lakhs to ₹ 26.97 lakhs. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from ₹ 25.63 lakhs to ₹ 25.09 lakhs during February and March.
The average price for Mini has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2012 and 2016, the average price is ₹ 16.71 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2012 (₹ 8.84 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 21.38 lakhs)in 2016. During the next two years (2017, 2019) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 77 %. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -100 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (₹ 14.8 lakhs) and the the last two years (2020, 2022) with a price of ₹ 4,750.5.
The graph that displays the price for Mini cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "25,000 - 50,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 36 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 20.21 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 17.27 lakhs and a mileage range of "50,000 - 1,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "less than 10,000". It is 33% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" and a price of ₹ 21.79 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Mini cars points out to "Electric" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 100 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 20.21 lakhs) followed by "Petrol" priced at ₹ 2.95 lakhs. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Diesel". It´s price is 29 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Petrol" with a price of ₹ 2.95 lakhs.
