Volkswagen Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Volkswagen cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was ₹ 8.74 lakhs. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₹ 13.23 lakhs. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price rose somewhat going from ₹ 10.98 lakhs to ₹ 12.21 lakhs. The average price has had spectacular rise of 17 % with an average price of ₹ 11.6 lakhs during the previous 4 months and ₹ 13.54 lakhs during the most recent months in February and March.
The average price for Volkswagen has gone through a significant depreciation in recent years. During the first sample analyzed, going from 2009 to 2019, the average price was ₹ 4.4 lakhs. Please take note of of the significant depreciation in the prices between 2009 (₹ 5.47 lakhs) and 2019 (₹ 2.77 lakhs). During the following two years, cars belonging to the brand aforementioned had a strong deflation in their selling price of -51 % compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone through a strong rise of 15 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This was taken from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₹ 2.53 lakhs) and the the last two years that have been analyzed (2022, 2023) with a price of ₹ 2.92 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for Volkswagen cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 79 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 11.74 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 4.92 lakhs and a mileage range of "10,000 - 25,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 27% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "25,000 - 50,000" priced at ₹ 6.7 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Volkswagen cars points out to "Petrol" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 82 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 11.74 lakhs) followed by "Diesel" priced at ₹ 2.41 lakhs. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Diesel". It´s price is 79 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Petrol" with a price of ₹ 2.15 lakhs.
