Volvo Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Volvo cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was ₹ 24.71 lakhs. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₹ 44.2 lakhs. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 31 % from ₹ 34.46 lakhs to ₹ 45.19 lakhs. The average price has had spectacular rise of 30 % with an average price of ₹ 39.82 lakhs during the previous 4 months and ₹ 51.71 lakhs during the most recent months in February and March.
The average price for Volvo has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2011 and 2018, the average price is ₹ 23.27 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2011 (₹ 14.31 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 42.9 lakhs)in 2018. During the next two years (2019, 2020) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 81 %. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -62 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (₹ 26.04 lakhs) and the the last two years (2021, 2022) with a price of ₹ 9.93 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for Volvo cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 81 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 53.26 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 17.85 lakhs and a mileage range of "50,000 - 1,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "10,000 - 25,000". It is 15% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "25,000 - 50,000" priced at ₹ 37.44 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Volvo cars points out to "Petrol" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 63 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 53.26 lakhs) followed by "Diesel" priced at ₹ 28.89 lakhs. On average the most expensive type of fuel is "Hybrid". It´s price is 52 % higher than the average market price followed by "Diesel" which costs ₹ 28.89 lakhs.
The graph displaying the average price for vehicles with doors shows that Volvo automobiles with the cheapest price have 4 doors. They are 15 % cheaper than the average price for this model priced at ₹ 45.14 lakhs. Cars with the the highest price have 5 doors and are 12 % more expensive than the average mentioned before.
