BMW 5 Series Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for BMW 5 Series cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in September the average price was ₹ 12.72 lakhs. October went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₹ 29.36 lakhs. During the following two months (November, December) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 87 % from ₹ 21.04 lakhs to ₹ 39.4 lakhs. The average price has risen 10 % during the last two months. This result was obtained based on the price for the first four months (PRECIO1!) and the price (₹ 33.3 lakhs) during January and February.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2008 and 2017, the average price is ₹ 13.79 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2008 (₹ 8.15 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 20.35 lakhs)in 2017. During the next two years (2018, 2019) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 68 %. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -70 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (₹ 13.62 lakhs) and the the last two years (2020, 2021) with a price of ₹ 4.08 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 5 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 76 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 26.14 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 11.02 lakhs and a mileage range of "50,000 - 1,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "less than 10,000". It is 99% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" and a price of ₹ 22.41 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW 5 Series cars points out to "Diesel" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 100 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 26.14 lakhs) followed by "Petrol" priced at ₹ 3,562. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 100 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Diesel" with a price of ₹ 2,547.
