BMW 5 Series Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for BMW 5 Series cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was ₹ 30.69 lakhs. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₹ 48.88 lakhs. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from ₹ 39.78 lakhs to ₹ 39.12 lakhs. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from ₹ 39.45 lakhs to ₹ 38.43 lakhs during February and March.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2008 and 2017, the average price is ₹ 16.38 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2008 (₹ 9.92 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 26.23 lakhs)in 2017. During the next two years (2018, 2019) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 147 %. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -78 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (₹ 22.64 lakhs) and the the last two years (2020, 2021) with a price of ₹ 4.89 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 5 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 82 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 34.13 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 12.69 lakhs and a mileage range of "50,000 - 1,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "10,000 - 25,000". It is 7% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "less than 10,000" and a price of ₹ 35.75 lakhs.
