BMW 5 Series Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for BMW 5 Series cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. In June the average price per vehicle is ₹ 43.02 lakhs. During July the price went trough a strong deflation till ₹ 31.72 lakhs. The following two months the selling price went through a strong reduction of -48 % compared to the previous two months studied. The average price has had spectacular rise of 17 % with an average price of ₹ 28.48 lakhs during the previous 4 months and ₹ 33.23 lakhs during the most recent months in October and November.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2008 and 2017, the average price is ₹ 14.68 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2008 (₹ 8.09 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 26.51 lakhs)in 2017. During the next two years (2018, 2019) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 80 %. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -81 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (₹ 14.57 lakhs) and the the last two years (2020, 2021) with a price of ₹ 2.74 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 5 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 88 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 37.11 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 11.23 lakhs and a mileage range of "50,000 - 1,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "less than 10,000". It is 0% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" and a price of ₹ 22.25 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW 5 Series cars points out to "Petrol" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 100 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 37.11 lakhs) followed by "Diesel" priced at ₹ 2.89 lakhs. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Diesel". It´s price is 92 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Petrol" with a price of ₹ 3,853.
