BMW 5 Series Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for BMW 5 Series cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. In November the average price per vehicle is ₹ 91.11 lakhs. During December the price went trough a strong deflation till ₹ 57.77 lakhs. The following two months the selling price went through a strong reduction of -29 % compared to the previous two months studied. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -17 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from ₹ 63.46 lakhs to ₹ 52.44 lakhs.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2006 and 2016, the average price is ₹ 22.11 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2006 (₹ 8.6 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 31.57 lakhs)in 2016. During the next two years (2017, 2018) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 95 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 9 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₹ 47.3 lakhs) and the the last two years that were studied (2019, 2020) with a price of ₹ 51.43 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 5 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 77 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 50.05 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 18.47 lakhs and a mileage range of "50,000 - 1,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most expensive cars is "more than 2,00,000". It is 185% more costly than the average market value followed by those vehicles with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" and a price of ₹ 43.67 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW 5 Series cars points out to "Diesel" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 51 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 50.05 lakhs) followed by "Petrol" priced at ₹ 65.52 lakhs. On average the most expensive type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 31 % higher than the average market price followed by "Diesel" which costs ₹ 24.49 lakhs.
