BMW 5 Series Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for BMW 5 Series cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. In April the average price per vehicle is ₹ 1.9 crores. During May the price went trough a strong deflation till ₹ 93.39 lakhs. The following two months the selling price went through a strong reduction of -16 % compared to the previous two months studied. The average price has had spectacular rise of 31 % with an average price of ₹ 1.31 crores during the previous 4 months and ₹ 1.71 crores during the most recent months in August and September.
The average price for BMW 5 Series has gone through a significant depreciation in recent years. During the first sample analyzed, going from 2007 to 2016, the average price was ₹ 52.56 lakhs. Please take note of of the significant depreciation in the prices between 2007 (₹ 1.86 crores) and 2016 (₹ 34.19 lakhs). During the following two years, cars belonging to the brand aforementioned had a strong deflation in their selling price of -18 % compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 9 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₹ 47.32 lakhs) and the the last two years that were studied (2019, 2020) with a price of ₹ 51.78 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 5 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 91 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 1.83 crores). Next with a price of ₹ 28.63 lakhs and a mileage range of "25,000 - 50,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "50,000 - 1,00,000". It is 33% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "less than 10,000" priced at ₹ 42.59 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW 5 Series cars points out to "Petrol" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 45 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 1.83 crores) followed by "Diesel" priced at ₹ 1.08 crores. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Diesel". It´s price is 41 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Petrol" with a price of ₹ 1 crores.
