Honda City Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Honda City cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in September was of ₹ 9.14 lakhs. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at ₹ 9.53 lakhs during October. During the following two months (November, December) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 25 % from ₹ 9.33 lakhs to ₹ 11.62 lakhs. The average price has had spectacular rise of 19 % with an average price of ₹ 10.47 lakhs during the previous 4 months and ₹ 12.44 lakhs during the most recent months in January and February.
The average price for Honda City has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2004 and 2019, the average price is ₹ 3.28 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2004 (₹ 2.01 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 3.63 lakhs)in 2019. During the next two years (2020, 2021) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 30 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 8 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₹ 4.64 lakhs) and the the last two years that were studied (2022, 2023) with a price of ₹ 5.02 lakhs.

They are 96 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 12.43 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 2.38 lakhs and a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 3% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" priced at ₹ 5.66 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Honda City cars points out to "CNG" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 81 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 12.43 lakhs) followed by "Diesel" priced at ₹ 3.42 lakhs. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 53 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Diesel" with a price of ₹ 3.42 lakhs.
