Honda City Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for Honda City cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. In August the average price per vehicle is ₹ 1.29 crores. During September the price went trough a strong deflation till ₹ 23.36 lakhs. The following two months the selling price went through a strong reduction of -80 % compared to the previous two months studied. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -65 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from ₹ 45.85 lakhs to ₹ 15.99 lakhs.
The average price for Honda City has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2002 and 2018, the average price is ₹ 11.45 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2002 (₹ 1.24 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 10.54 lakhs)in 2018. During the next two years the average price(₹ 11.62 lakhs) has hardly changed, remaining at a constant value compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 7 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₹ 12.52 lakhs) and the the last two years that were studied (2021, 2022) with a price of ₹ 13.42 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for Honda City cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 84 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 16.64 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 6.2 lakhs and a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 18% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" priced at ₹ 12.36 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Honda City cars points out to "Diesel" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 39 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 16.64 lakhs) followed by "CNG" priced at ₹ 12.83 lakhs. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 13 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "CNG" with a price of ₹ 12.83 lakhs.
