The retail prices for Maruti Alto cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in September the average price was . October went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₹ 315. During the following two months (November, December) the average selling price experienced a noticeable rise, going up 1525 % from ₹ 157.5 to ₹ 2,559. The average price has had spectacular rise of 246051 % with an average price of ₹ 1,358.25 during the previous 4 months and ₹ 33.43 lakhs during the most recent months in January and February.
