Maruti Zen Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Maruti Zen cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. The average price in November was of ₹ 95,978. This price hardly went through any changes and remained at ₹ 95,493 during December. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from ₹ 95,735.5 to ₹ 95,826.5. The average price has had spectacular rise of 175 % with an average price of ₹ 95,781 during the previous 4 months and ₹ 2.63 lakhs during the most recent months in March and April.
The average price for Maruti Zen has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2010, the average price is ₹ 1.47 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (₹ 1.06 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 2.15 lakhs)in 2010. During the next two years (2011, 2012) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 48 %. During the last two years the price has remained constant with regard to the previous 4 years, going from an average price of ₹ 2.26 lakhs in 2013 and ₹ 2.35 lakhs during 2014.
