Maruti Zen Vehicles have gone through a slight rise in their retail price recently. The prices for this particular model have risen.
The retail prices for Maruti Zen cars have increased during the last 6 months. In September the price for a car is ₹ 2.2 lakhs increasing till ₹ 2.35 lakhs in October. The average selling price has remained fairly constant during the following two months, going from ₹ 2.27 lakhs to ₹ 2.37 lakhs. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from ₹ 2.32 lakhs to ₹ 2.24 lakhs during January and February.
The average price for Maruti Zen has had a strong rise in recent years. Between "before 2000" and 2010, the average price is ₹ 1.1 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in "before 2000" (₹ 83,610) moving up till (₹ 1.72 lakhs)in 2010. During the next two years (2011, 2012) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 90 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 5 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₹ 2.21 lakhs) and the the last two years that were studied (2013, 2014) with a price of ₹ 2.32 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for Maruti Zen cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 73 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 2.19 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 92,341 and a mileage range of "10,000 - 25,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "50,000 - 1,00,000". It is 13% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "25,000 - 50,000" priced at ₹ 1.66 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Maruti Zen cars points out to "LPG" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 72 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 2.19 lakhs) followed by "Diesel" priced at ₹ 93,387. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 5 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Hybrid" with a price of ₹ 1.03 lakhs.
