TATA Indigo Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for TATA Indigo cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. The average price for November is ₹ 1.47 crores. During December there was a slight reduction in the selling prices dropping till ₹ 1.37 crores. The following two months (January, February) the selling price went through a devaluation of -10 percent in the average selling price compared to the previous two months analyzed. In the last two months, the price has gone through a strong devaluation of -15 % compared to the 4 previous average values going down from ₹ 1.35 crores to ₹ 1.15 crores.
The average price for TATA Indigo has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2003 and 2014, the average price is ₹ 47.78 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2003 (₹ 74,999) moving up till (₹ 1.26 crores)in 2014. During the next two years (2015, 2016) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 118 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have experienced a depreciation of -9 % compared to the average prices for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from prices from the the previous four years in a previous sample (₹ 94.98 lakhs) and the the last two years analyzed (2017, 2018) with a price of ₹ 85.98 lakhs.
The graph that displays the price for TATA Indigo cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "less than 10,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 60 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 1.13 crores). Next with a price of ₹ 60.93 lakhs and a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "more than 2,00,000". It is 20% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "25,000 - 50,000" priced at ₹ 81.28 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for TATA Indigo cars points out to "Diesel" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 77 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 1.13 crores) followed by "Petrol" priced at ₹ 1.06 crores. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 6 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Diesel" with a price of ₹ 26.21 lakhs.
