BMW 3 Series Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for BMW 3 Series cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was ₹ 23.23 lakhs. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₹ 40.46 lakhs. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price rose somewhat going from ₹ 31.84 lakhs to ₹ 36.19 lakhs. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from ₹ 34.02 lakhs to ₹ 33.61 lakhs during February and March.
The average price for BMW 3 Series has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2007 and 2017, the average price is ₹ 13.21 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2007 (₹ 7.12 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 25.55 lakhs)in 2017. During the next two years (2018, 2019) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 159 %. During the last two years, the car industry has had a strong deflation in its selling prices of -100 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from analysing the prices for the the preceding four years in a previous sample (₹ 17.12 lakhs) and the the last two years (2020, 2022) with a price of ₹ 4,925.
The graph that displays the price for BMW 3 Series cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 71 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 25.22 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 11.45 lakhs and a mileage range of "50,000 - 1,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 19% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" priced at ₹ 20.03 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for BMW 3 Series cars points out to "Petrol" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 100 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 25.22 lakhs) followed by "Diesel" priced at ₹ 4.66 lakhs. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Diesel". It´s price is 82 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Petrol" with a price of ₹ 5,100.
