Honda City Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Honda City cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was ₹ 9.53 lakhs. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₹ 12.16 lakhs. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price rose somewhat going from ₹ 10.84 lakhs to ₹ 11.76 lakhs. During the last couple of months, the average price has hardly changed, remaining the same going from ₹ 11.3 lakhs to ₹ 11.35 lakhs during February and March.
The average price for Honda City has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2002 and 2019, the average price is ₹ 3.67 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2002 (₹ 1.38 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 5.12 lakhs)in 2019. During the following two years, cars belonging to the brand aforementioned had a strong deflation in their selling price of -100 % compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 8 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (₹ 1,205) and the the last two years that were studied (2022, 2023) with a price of ₹ 1,296.5.
The graph that displays the price for Honda City cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "1,00,000 - 2,00,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 83 % more affordable than the average price (₹ 10.28 lakhs). Next with a price of ₹ 2.05 lakhs and a mileage range of "more than 2,00,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "less than 10,000". It is 20% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "25,000 - 50,000" priced at ₹ 7.31 lakhs.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Honda City cars points out to "Diesel" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 88 % less expensive than the average market price (₹ 10.28 lakhs) followed by "Petrol" priced at ₹ 5.13 lakhs. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 50 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Diesel" with a price of ₹ 1.27 lakhs.
