Mahindra Thar Vehicles have gone through a strong increase in their selling price recently. There has been a considerable inflation in the selling prices for this model.
The retail prices for Mahindra Thar cars have gone through a strong rise during the last 6 months. During the first month analyzed in October the average price was ₹ 7.23 lakhs. November went through a strong inflation with a rise in the price till ₹ 9.25 lakhs. During the following two months (December, January) the average selling price rose somewhat going from ₹ 8.24 lakhs to ₹ 8.79 lakhs. The average price has had spectacular rise of 18 % with an average price of ₹ 8.51 lakhs during the previous 4 months and ₹ 10.09 lakhs during the most recent months in February and March.
The average price for Mahindra Thar has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2011 and 2018, the average price is ₹ 6.58 lakhs. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2011 (₹ 2.84 lakhs) moving up till (₹ 9.13 lakhs)in 2018. During the following two years, cars belonging to the brand aforementioned had a strong deflation in their selling price of -48 % compared to the previous period. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have experienced a depreciation of -8 % compared to the average prices for the previous 4 years. This has been obtained from prices from the the previous four years in a previous sample (₹ 3.15 lakhs) and the the last two years analyzed (2022, 2023) with a price of ₹ 2.9 lakhs.
